Roxie was very sweet and kind. I once walked maybe 3 miles to visit her and her mom made me leave after a few minutes. Lol. I don't recall where she was working, but the day before I left for Stanford in the fall of 1974, I bought a stereo for my car from her. I am sad to know she passed.
Roxy was one of the coolest girls at skyline. We always Seem to have our lockers, either side-by-side or real close through the years, so we would always see each other before school , Or in between classes. I can still remember her perfectly walking up, long, beautiful, black hair, with her fringed purse, slung over her shoulder.
I remember once creating a diversion so she could sneak out of school. She was always super friendly and had a beautiful smile. I've always wondered, what happened to her as the years went on. I was so sad to read she had passed .
I was Roxie's "unofficial" boyfriend and by our senior year we were always together. She loved cars and still had her orange Challenger when she passed in 2019. I took her to the Dodge dealership when she picked it up in 1973. Someone was always challenging me to a drag race on frontage road and she was usually riding shotgun for those events. I can still hear her chewing me out when I missed a power shift in one of those races. In the early nineties she and her family moved into our subdivision and we became friends again for a few years but drifted apart after we moved away. She truly took a piece of my heart with her when she left. One of four woman that I truly loved in my life and I miss her dearly. RIP
I remember you with her Dave, she was darling, we were in Job's Daughters together and I just loved her. You were lucky to have four loves back then, haaaaa
Hi Tanya, you're still the sweet girl I remember! I hope you're doing well. Yes I loved Miss Elsa Rachel Peters and didn't even realize it until the last few years. We met at the bus stop in tenth grade and she treated me like the dork I was and by our senior year we were inseprable. She took something from me I can't mention here that was a true act of love and kindness and as a seventeen year old kid I thought it was motivated by something else. And she was as fiery as any girl I ever knew at the same time. We got in a little spat on the phone about a year before she passed and I decided she'd have to call me before I called her and when her husband called with the news and I was deeply saddened. Anyway after seeing the list here I'm glad to see we're both still above ground will around be for our 60th reunion. I plan on moving back to Salt Lake next year and hopefully I'll see you there.
How sad Dave! Something so strong stayed with you forever! You are the sweetest! And so compassionate. Too bad we can't see into the future, we could do things differently. Roxie thought the world of you, She was a feisty one that girl. Thats why we loved her. I hope you see you again Dave, you are such a sweetheart!

I loved Roxie, we were good friends for a long time. We lost touch and I was so shocked and sad that she passed.
