John and I were the only males in the modern dance class. I think both of us were eager to fulfill our PE requirement while escaping traditional sports. Lisa Warenski had suggested taking modern dance to me, and I thought I would be the only male in the class until John showed up. Though John and I were not close, there was a camraderie between us in our minority staus. I am thankful to have had him as a classmate and a friend.
